McDONALD SPORTSMEN’S ASSOCIATION NRA REGISTERED BLACK POWDER CARTRIDGE RIFLE SILHOUETTE MATCH 2008 EASTERN 80 SHOT CHAMPIONSHIP
DATE: 2 days – June 7 and 8. Range will be open for practice Friday, June 6 (no charge).
MATCH FEES: $60.00 – Make checks payable to McDonald Sportsmen’s Association.
REGISTRATION: Prepaid/pre-registration required. NOTE: Please provide a phone number with registration. Once range capacity is reached, late entries will be placed on a waiting list.
MATCH TIME: Saturday – Registration 6:30 a.m., sight-in 7:30 a.m., competitor meeting 8:45 a.m. Match begins approximately 9:00 a.m. Sunday – No sight-in time. Match begins approximately 8:00 a.m.
RULES: All current NRA rules apply, ear protection required, eye protection suggested, open block indicator rule will be enforced. Open block indicators will be available at nominal cost. You must be an NRA member.
COURSE OF FIRE: Each day -- Offhand – 10 chickens; from cross-stick – 10 pigs, 10 turkeys, 10 rams
AWARDS: Cash and/or prizes plus medallions for Match Winner, 2nd and 3rd OPEN for iron sights and for scope. 1st place in each class will also receive a medallion. Iron sights and scope will run concurrently as separate matches. Competitors shooting a score of 30 or more for the first time on either day will receive a special club certificate. It is the competitor’s responsibility to notify match officials of a first time 30 score. NOTE: This is an 80 shot aggregate match. No awards will be given for single days.
LONG RUNS: If a competitor knocks down all 10 targets, the competitor will be permitted to continue firing for the purpose of attempting a long run record. The competitor will have the choice of firing a long run at the end of the relay or at the end of the match, except that long run for pigs must be shot at the end of the match.
LOCATION OF RANGE: McDonald Sportsmen’s Club, McDonald, PA. Club website has a map.
FACILITIES: Kitchen, water and indoor restrooms. Campers welcome (no charge), sleeping in club house is permitted.
